LONGCHENPA KUN KHYEN COLLECTION

Preserving the Radiant Light of Knowledge

The Yeshe-De Project was founded byTarthang Tulku,a Tibetan lama who is also a refugee.  Fully aware of the value of the written heritage  of Tibet and the sacrifices Tibetans made to protect it, Tarthang Tulku set up a publishing house , and started a printing press, starting the greatest publishing project of our times, with the aim of preserving the sacred Buddhist texts, a living treasure of teachings, for which so many Tibetans risked their lives.

Thus began a large-scale conservation effort that would finally breathe new life into the fragile Tibetan heritage. “Yeshe De” means “fields of knowledge”.

Brazil now has the opportunity to participate in these editorial projects and contribute to the preservation of these teachings that spread a seed of peace and harmony among all of us.

LONGCHENPA KUN KHYEN COLLECTION

the omniscient masterLongchenpa of the Nyingma lineage was born in central Tibet in 1308. In his brief life of 56 years, he became the foremost teacher of the Nyingma lineage and the author of an extraordinary body of teachings that are profoundly precious treasures not only of Tibetan culture but of world civilization.

As one of the three main manifestations of Manjushri to have taught in Tibet, Longchenpa is also regarded as a manifestation of the Vidyadhara Vimalamitra, who promised to return once every century to uphold the teachings, and is therefore to be revered as the inseparable companion of this enlightened forefather. of the Dzogchen lineage.

Spending most of his life practicing in remote places, Longchenpa wrote and compiled some 250 works, becoming one of the most erudite masters in the history of Tibet.  Also as a Buddhist philosopher, the wisdom of Longchenpa and enlightened activity equals that of the most distinguished Indian panditas.

"I am immensely grateful that these Longchenpa manuscripts have survived for nearly 700 years, and if I have the ability to extend their longevity, I am honored to accept that responsibility."

~ Tarthang Tulku Rinpoche
