The Yeshe De Tibetan Text Preservation Project is dedicated to preserving and distributing Tibetan texts to preserve Tibetan culture and the tradition of Tibetan Buddhism for future generations.

Everywhere in the world today there is suffering, confusion and division.

More than ever, the world needs the wisdom that the 1400-year-old writings of Tibetan Buddhist masters have to offer. These texts by the great ancient teachers speak directly to the modern human situation, cutting across time and cultural differences. Its wisdom can guide us to restore calm, balance and harmony within ourselves, develop care and compassion for others, and bring knowledge and wisdom to inform our actions and enable us to participate meaningfully in the world.

The transmission and translation of this vast body of literature in the West will take decades, and in the meantime, we need to keep the wisdom traditions alive, vital and strong within the Tibetan community in Asia.

 

Our team of volunteers prints and binds traditional Tibetan Buddhist scriptures into our binding at Ratna Ling Retreat Center on California's North Coast in Sonoma.

The books are distributed free of charge to Tibetan refugees in Asia during the World Peace Ceremony. With these texts, the next generation of Tibetans are able to continue their traditional education in Buddhist studies and practices.

Realizing the urgency of making these texts available while the older generation of trained teachers is still alive, we are committed to reproducing as many texts as we can.
